Sacramento Wedding Photography - Amanda and Eric

Love.

I LOVE love.   ♥
Seeing how there are still a few minutes left in the day dedicated to all things love, I’m going to write a bit about it.

I love the concept of love, the action, the expression, the trail love leaves in its wake.

Love is an amazing creation to me.
I love watching love in action… and I got the chance to do exactly that on Saturday.

BEFORE I BEGIN ABOUT AMANDA AND ERIC, I will let you know that I’m providing a totally shameless plug for Eric at the bottom of the post.  :-D  Check it out.

Amanda and Eric are newly engaged, soon to be married, and forever destined to be quite happy.  I’m sure of that last part.
There are very few people with the adoration these two have for each other.
Being able to spend time with a couple who loves as deeply as they on so many levels is the hugest blessing for Ben and Me.

We always try to be a huge cheerleader for healthy marriages, happy friendships with your spouse and a forever love.
Watching Eric and Amanda interact, I am so confident that they will have all three.

I adore the way Eric snuggles into a hug around Amanda, the way she stares into his eyes, how they both stop and take a long “this moment is perfect” breath while holding each other.  Beyond that, they are SO fun.  I mean seriously, how many people can you say that you KNOW would stop and dance in the middle of traffic?

Eric and Amanda – Thank you so so very much for spending time with Benjamin and me on Saturday.  You two are so amazing, and I know that God will pour out every blessing on you both and your upcoming marriage.

I know I’m gushing, but it’s so encouraging to see people so completely, head over heels for each other, even in the midst of planning a wedding when things get stressful.

OK, Here’s the advertisement.

San Francisco Wedding – Westin St. Francis

Ben & Thony Invited us to be a part of their amazing wedding weekend in San Francisco.

I am pretty sure between travel and shooting, it was about 26 hours of wedding goodness.
Being from different cultures, their wedding included a Cambodian Marriage Ceremony or Traditional Khmer ceremony, A Chinese Tea Ceremony, and a traditional American ceremony at the Westin St. Francis Hotel on Union Square.

All three (as well as their HUGE reception) were absolutely beautiful. I love the connection Ben and Thony have with each other. It’s that connection that will really keep their love complete for years and years (and years) to come.
Here’s just a small nibble at the full blog with MANY more pictures coming soon.
Thank you Ben & Thony for letting us be a part of your day!

DJ and Nicole's Delta King Wedding

Nicole and DJ are such a fun couple.  We almost instantly became good friends with them during their engagement shoot.  Being a part of their wedding, sharing their day with them and capturing some amazing images was like icing on the friendship cake that we had already developed.

We had been looking forward to being a part of a wedding on the Sacramento Delta King for quite awhile; DJ and Nicole came along and made that happen.  The Delta King is a beautiful place for a wedding and affords some great places to capture some really fun pictures.

In addition to the great staff at the Delta King we had the opportunity to work with Sound Image Entertainment.  Thank you Brandon and Kami for the phenomenal job you did with all of the lighting, Disc Jockeying and wedding coordination.  It was a pleasure to working with and getting to know you.  We look forward to our continued relationship.

Congratulations Nicole and DJ! We are so excited for you both!  We are so happy to been a part of your wedding and for the friendship we have found in you and your family.  Thank you so much for letting us capture your love story.

Patrick's Halloween Cake Masterpiece

Tommy and Megan’s wedding was SO fun, the weather was perfect, their friends are fantastic, but before I blog them, I have to blog the cake.

It absolutely deserves it’s own spotlight!

Patrick over at the fantastic Village Cake Shoppe in Sacramento worked with Megan in creating this amazing piece of confectionary art. Megan said that she didn’t want the ordinary wedding cake. She had lots of ideas, she went through them with Patrick, and THIS is what came to life!

The fondant was perfectly sculpted, the colors were beautiful, and the cake itself was To-Die-FOR! There was a neopolitan layer as well as a pumpkin spice (both were SOOOO yummy!). I’m not sure what the top layer was, I suppose we’ll have to ask Megan and Tommy on their one year anniversary :-D

Not everything he does is gruesome and ghouly though. Check out his website, portfolio, and give him a call if you’re looking for your wedding cake.

Patrick is truly an artist. The meticulously formed details are proof.

Thank you for keeping the art in your work, and not just being another wedding-baker. You rock!

Matt & Melissa's Beautiful Garden Wedding in Folsom

Matt and Melissa are brand new friends of ours through other good friends of ours (and we couldn’t be happier about that!). This sweet couple was married at the Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom. Their ceremony was in the Inn’s back Garden area, complete with Harpist Pamela Pamperin. The reception was in the Inn’s GORGEOUS Pavilion. I was so impressed at all of the beautiful little details put together for their day! Everything was lovely down to the poetry clad tissues, the bubbles during the first dance, the wonderfully hand crafted programs and name cards, and so much more.

Congratulations Matt and Melissa. We’re WAY excited to have you come hang out with us in Young Marrieds!

El Dorado Hills Wedding at Serrano

Wedding photography at Serrano Country Club is beautiful. Wedding Photography of Max and Jessica is STUNNING. When you put the two together, it’s on the verge of heavenly.

We were SO blessed to be able to photograph Max and Jessica’s wedding so here’s just a sneak peak of the full blog that’s on it’s way later (we just got too excited about the images that we had to share a little bit…)
