God made the world with towering trees,
majestic mountains, and restless seas.
Then paused and said, It needs one more thing….
someone to laugh and dance and sing.
To walk in the woods and gather flowers…
to commune with nature in quiet hours.”
So God made little girls with laughing eyes
and bouncing curls,
with joyful hearts,
and infectious smiles,
enchanting ways and
feminine wiles.
And when He’d completed the task He’d begun,
He was pleased and proud of the job He’d done.
For the world, when seen through a little girl’s eyes
greatly resembled Paradise.

I found that poem today and it totally reminded me of little A. Such sweet eyes, delicious little cheeks and when her smile happens, it’s just the cutest darm things… she absolutely glows.
We had A’s family over yesterday to hang out a little, take some pictures, carb up, and I have to say, they’re just rad. We had some fun and at the end of the day, got some amazing pictures of all three!
Thank you guys for coming so early! I know it was outside of your normal schedule. You are awesome!
Sunshine and love, Lauren

OH BABY!
Little Mr. V is just about the sweetest little man ever! (next to my own munchkin, that is) From his perfect little newborn curls to his teeny tiny terrific little toes, he is just fantastic.
I went to high school with his mom, who has since high school made her way down to Berkeley, so I took the opportunity to head down there and spend a couple of hours catching up, hanging out and taking some newborn portraits.
I am incredibly partial to New baby pictures in black and white, but I threw a color one in there just for good measure.
:-D
Love and other good things, L

We want to help with the relief efforts in Haiti, so for every session booked between now and February 28, we will donate $25 to the American Red Cross.
To sweeten the deal a little, if you book to donate, we’ll toss in a free 11×14 print! (Um.. $60 value? yeah… it’s worth it)
Call Lauren @916-607-1494 or use our Contact us form to book a session

Ok, I like Jenn so much, we decided to shoot just a little more. This girl is ROCKIN!
We did a mini studio session, played a bit with makeup colors and here’s what we came up with:
It’s almost as though she is working on her modeling headshots… She has such a great artillery of poses, and beautiful deep expressions, I’m just super blessed that I get to call her friend, and have the opportunity to shoot her!
Jenn — The camera loves you, and so do I!

This is Stephanie… everybody — say “Hi Stephanie!”
:-D
I met Stephanie on Facebook. She, coincidentally, is a friend of another rep of ours, Austin. Our original photo date was to be in Old Sacramento, but because of unforeseen circumstances, we ended up in Folsom. I’m SO glad we did, too!
Stephanie rocked that little town! She has a bright beautiful smile that just doesn’t stop, and a wonderful attitude that just glows through her pictures.
Thanks Stephanie for coming out and shooting with me. I’m so glad you’re our other Folsom High Rep!

SO, I have to take a big, deep breath before writing this, because I just KNOW I’m going to babble.
Ashley and I got together last night for some Senior Rep shooting, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much FUN I had working with her!
We met in Town Center and shot around a little bit… she knew exactly what would make her look good, and worked it! She didn’t even care that it was the last Concert in Town Center night, and there were tons of people around. I was really impressed.
What impressed me even more, though, is that as we were crossing Town Center, she gasped and said “Hey! It’s a Newfoundland!” I was confused, but thought, “ok” As it turns out, a Newfoundland is a dog. (I didn’t know this. I don’t know many dog breeds or how to tell them apart even.) A Newfoundland is not just a dog though, it’s a BIG dog… a VERY BIG DOG. So Ashley and her little teeny adorable self trots over there, and I first think — hm… that dog could eat her, or even just sit on her and cause lots of damage, but she assured me that she has one, and she’s used to them. Then I think… ooh! How cute it would be to get a picture. Well, the dog didn’t seem to think so, and avoided the camera at all cost, almost running away with Ashley in tow.
I was still impressed by how well she handled the ridiculously giant dog.
Anyway, we left Town Center, but stayed in El Dorado Hills, heading over to the Library where she worked her magic just a little bit more, allowing for some breathtaking shots.
Well done, love. Well done. You made choosing the blog shots really difficult ( I told you it would happen), but very fun, nonetheless.
Thanks!
